Pepusch: Alexis – See from the silent grove

Description

Perhaps Pepusch’s most famous English cantata (at least the most widely copied and circulated).

Alexis calls on Musick to ease love’s pain and Apollo points out that Musick is the voice of Love! Here in the soprano key.
